Mike Perry is a New Zealand artist working in a variety of media. Over the past fifteen years he has built his business on the vibrant tableware he is well known for.
In recent years a mechanical theme has infiltrated his work, inspired by his surroundings. A collection of classic motoscooters, a mountain of hoarded parts, equipment and retro paraphernalia.
His latest works echo the New Zealand of the past and present as he sees it
Mike's work is exhibited widely: twice guest artist, Montana Wearable Art Show in 2006 and 2008, cast member, Montana Wearable Art Show 2008. Mike is a long-established potter in Mapua in Tasman Bay.
